1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember things like what is in your basket, whether you are logged in, and which pages you looked at. Similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage do comparable jobs, and we use the word cookies to cover all of them here.

2. Your choice

When you first visit https://officialmiso.com you will see a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are always on because the shop cannot work without them. Everything else, including analytics and advertising cookies, is only set if you accept.

3. The categories we use

Strictly necessary. Keep items in your basket, take you through checkout securely, remember your cookie choices, protect against fraud and balance site traffic. These cannot be switched off. Set by Shopify and Shopify Payments.

Performance and analytics. Tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, where they drop off and whether pages load properly, so we can improve the site. This is aggregated and we do not use it to identify you personally. Set by Shopify Analytics.

Functional. Remember preferences such as recently viewed products, and power features such as customer reviews. Set by Judge.me.

Advertising and targeting. Measure whether an advert led to a purchase and show you relevant adverts on other platforms. Set by the Meta Pixel. These can be used to build a profile of your interests. We also use Klaviyo to understand how you interact with our emails, so we can send you fewer and more relevant ones.

4. Third party cookies

Some cookies are set by companies other than us, in particular Meta. We do not control what those companies do with the data they collect and you should read their own policies. Meta's is at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy. Where we work with third parties, we ask them to act only on our instructions and to comply with UK data protection law.

5. How long they last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period, ranging from a few days for basket cookies to up to 24 months for some analytics and advertising cookies.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its settings menu. You can also use private or incognito browsing. Instructions are available in the help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
